2012 Africa Cup of Nations top scorer Emmanuel Mayuka has been released by Zamalek after the club president Mortada Mansour had claimed they have reached a settlement over his late dues.
This claim has been refuted by his agent in comments made to KingFut, providing evidence they are suing Zamalek over wrongful termination of employment contract.
Mayuka joined Zamalek from FC Metz in Winter 2016, and it was not a smooth landing in Egypt as a lot of issues and criticism to the club had been made by the public due to Mayuka’s agent being Israeli, providing the long-standing political tension between Egypt & Israel.
In return, Zamalek had then refuted all claims of that being true, claiming that his agent was a Greek man by the name of Tzikas Athanasios, something which Karin has admitted to keeping quite about it from the start but in no way was he involved in the deal.
“It is true. I’m Mayuka’s only agent and I signed with Zamalek and Mortada Mansour. I’ve talked to him many times and with his sons Ahmed and Amir Mansour. We sued them to FIFA and all Zamalek fans and people will know the truth, that the Mansour family is working with Israeli people.”
“Tawfik Okasha, a former Egypt parliament member was banned from being in Egypt parliament because he met with the Israeli ambassador in Egypt in his house. At least he was brave enough to do it on camera and face the punishment. But the Mansour family lied to millions of people and did it under the table.
“Tzikas was just a fake agent to cover up for Zamalek. He wasn’t Mayuka’s agent and he did not sign the contracts.
Karin went on to reveal that they’re suing the club for €1.3 million, which is equivalent to almost 26 million Egyptian Pounds.
“We are suing for €1.3 million, €300,000 of salary which they owe him for 18 months, €700,000 for the remaining dues of his three and a half year contract and another €300,000 for my commission which I have not been paid,” Karin revealed.
“I respect Zamalek and Egypt. I am in favor of having a normal relationship but I want the people to know the truth… We are suing to FIFA and the truth will come out.
“It is known that Mayuka has a record of a meeting with Zamalek’s board and in this meeting they admitted that they faked contracts, changed dates and did illegal things.
Also this record will be heard in FIFA.
“Mayuka and I are suing Zamalek and want the egypt people to know the truth,” Karin concluded.
The former Southampton hitman enjoyed a torrid spell in Egypt, making 37 appearances in 18 months, having been unfit for most of the time.
