English Premier League side Everton Football Club have set sight on signing Ghana captain Andre Ayew on transfer deadline.
According to various sources in England, the 33-year-old has emerged as a top transfer priority this winter after leaving Al Sadd SC in Qatar.
Ayew, formerly of West Ham and Swansea, offers a cheap and reliable goalscoring alternative for Everton with a lack of recognised strikers available to the club. The Ghanaian attacker scored 21 goals in 89 appearances in the English top-flight.
Everton look set for a hugely busy deadline day finale after also rivalling Southampton for Rennes winger Sulemana and Sheraldo Becker at Bundesliga side Union Berlin.
Sulemana could move to England but his destination is uncertain given Everton’s fellow strugglers Saints have also had a bid accepted.
