English Premier League team Watford FC manager, Claudio Ranieri is said to be interested in signing Ghanaian international defender Daniel Amartey in the January transfer window, according to Media report.
The Ghanaian international was signed from Denmark Superligaen side FC Copenhagen to Premier League side Leicester City by the current Watford gaffer in 2016 January.
The Foxes surprisingly won the 2015-16 England Premiership with Ranieri in charge of the Blue and Whites outfit.
Amartey’s contract with Leicester City ends at the end of the season in the summer of 2022 and Watford are keen to land the services of the Ghanaian.
Ranieri, who was brought in to help the Yellow and Blacks stay in the Premier League had made the Ghanaian his top most priority in the January transfer window.
Meanwhile, Amartey could move outside England following interest from clubs in Italy, Germany and Spain.
