Walton & Hersham have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of English-Ghanaian forward Francis Amartey, adding pace, experience and fresh energy to the Swans’ frontline as they continue their push in the Southern League Premier South.
The 26-year-old arrives from Bracknell Town, where he featured 23 times this season before completing his move at the start of the New Year. His arrival is seen as a timely boost for Walton & Hersham as they look to maintain momentum in the second half of the campaign.
Amartey boasts extensive non-league experience, having represented Aldershot Town, Weymouth, Slough Town, and Hampton & Richmond Borough. His journey through the English pyramid has equipped him with a strong understanding of the physicality and tempo required at this level.
In addition to his non-league pedigree, Amartey has enjoyed spells in the professional game, including time with Ayr United in Scotland and within the Birmingham City academy, where he developed his technical skills, movement, and finishing in the final third.
Walton & Hersham believe Amartey is ready to make an immediate impact, and the forward is already in contention for selection. He could make his debut in the upcoming fixture against Gosport Borough, giving supporters an early look at his qualities and attacking threat.
