Ghana international striker Jordan Ayew returned to action over the weekend in the English Premier League for Crystal Palace after testing negative for Coronavirus-19 but his lack of goals for Roy Hodgson’s side continues.
Ayew – who was voted Palace Player of the 2019/20 season – has failed to score in 1, 240 minutes of football action across 16 competitive games for both club and country.
The striker tested positive for the deadly virus after returning from international duty with the Black Stars of Ghana who played Mali and Qatar in international friendly matches last month.
He missed the league games against Brighton and Holve Albion and versus Fulham but after becoming Coronavirus-free the Ghanaian replaced Andros Townsend to play the last 20 minutes of Palace 2-0 defeat at Wolves on Sunday.
Jordan’s last competitive goal came in the Premier League match of last season against Bournemouth on September 20th, 2020 as Palace won 2-0.
