Director of Communications for Accra Hearts of Oak, Kwame Opare Addo, has revealed that all the new players signed by the club, were done based on head coach Edward Nii Odoom’s recommendation.
The phobains, who have not won any major title for almost a decade now, have been busy in the transfer market, signing some quality players in an attempt to end their trophy drought in the coming years.
The club, have so far announced the signing of five new players namely
Danjuma, Nuru Sulley, Abednego Tetteh, Abdourahamane Mamane Lawali and Eric Dizan.
”Every player signed by the team is not from my recommendation likewise the recommendation by any staff member but rather it is the coach who recommend players,” Opare told FOX FM in Kumasi.
”The coach has to defend the signing of every player as to the reason for his inclusion.
”Depending on what the player is able to offer and per the coach’s statistics, submission and what the club also wants to achieve will make us agree on signing a particular player,”he added.
