Malik Pimpong, the son of former Ghana international Razak Pimpong, has signed for Danish club FC Midtjylland.

Pimpong is a skilled offensive player with technique, goal-scoring ability and a winning mentality.

His great talent has now been rewarded, as the 15-year-old great talent has signed his first contract with FC Midtjylland.

The youngster joined FCM as an U13 player and has been part of the club’s U15 team. He was with the second-oldest academy team for the Nordic Championships in December 2022.

FC Midtjylland’s Academy manager Flemming Broe is delighted with Malik Pimpong’s progress especially with his new contract with the Danish club.

“Malik is a great talent who has a good athletic package. He is technically skilled and can score goals. At the same time, he has a good winning mentality, and we are convinced that there is something exciting hidden in him,” Flemming Broe said.

“Now it’s about him building an even higher base level. He is still young and there are many things to work on, but he has good prerequisites in terms of being able to take big steps in the next few years.

The Ghanaian progidy is also pleased to have signed the first agreement with the club where his father Razak Pimpong had his football breakthrough in the early 2000s.

“FC Midtjylland has always been my favorite club, and therefore I am incredibly proud to sign this contract. There is a lot of hard work behind it, and now it’s about becoming an even bigger profile on my team, says Malik Pimpong mentioned.

“I see myself as a dangerous striker who loves to score goals. At the same time, I can cover several of the offensive positions in the team. One of my focus areas is to become even more skilled at taking extra runs and sprints for the team, and I will work on improving that in the future.” He concluded.
