Former Karela United FC striker William Opoku Mensah has joined Swope Park Rangers after successfully passing a medical on Monday.
He joins the USL side on a season loan deal with an option to extend at end of his initial contract.
The forward will also have the opportunity to move to MLS side Sporting Kansas City if he excels.
Swope Park Rangers is the feeder team of Sporting Kansas City and play in the USL championship.
The 23-year old shot into fame in the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League season with an outstanding performance for Karela, scoring six goals in 14 games including a hat-trick against Hearts of Oak.
He was part of the part of the Black Stars B before departing for the USA.
