Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach, Steven Polack has been named in a four man shortlist for vacant Gor Mahia coaching job.
The record Kenyan champions are on the market for a replacement for Briton Dylan Kerr who resigned mid last month to take up Black Leopards job in the South African Premier Soccer League.
Temporarily, Gor Mahia is being trained by former Kenyan international, Zedekiah Otieno who over the weekend lost to Kariobangi Sharks by a lone goal in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) Super Cup.
The other listed coaches include; Stefano Maccoppi (Italy) ,Hassan Oktay(Turkish-Cypriot) and an unnamed Russian coach.
Gor Mahia will be looking out for a coach with vast experience in the African game and as well very affordable, the club chairman Ambrose Rachier remarked.
According to him, the four shortlisted coaches are expected in the country for a series of interviews with the odds favoring Hassan Oktay, who watched from the stands as Gor Mahia fell to Kariobangi Sharks by a lone goal in the KPL super Cup this weekend.
Steve Pollack comes to the table having coached several African clubs with top of the list, giant Kumasi Asante Kotoko for two(2) competitive seasons winning the F.A Cup in his last.
