The Abidjan based club who will be competing in next season’s CAF Champions League are hoping to secure the services of the former Asante Kotoko goal machine to spearhead their attack after terminating the contract of Burkinabe striker Hervé Oussalé.
”We have expressed interest in Ahmed Toure, he is a good striker judging from his exploits at Bechem United he will be good addition,” a source close to the club revealed to sportsworldGhana.com.
The former Ghana Premier League goal king when contacted by our outfit confirmed the news saying ”Yes it’s true that ASEC Mimosas have contacted me and are ready to sign me but we are yet to commence negotiations and see if we will be able to come into a compromise and see what happens next”.
Ahmed Toure scored 13 goals for Bechem United in his first season of the two year deal signed in the just ended Ghana Premier League season.
ASEC Mimosas are currently on fifth position in the ongoing Ivorian league with 7 points in four matches.
