Ghana Premier League side Ashantigold SC, have officially contacted Division One League club Nkoranza Warriors for their attacking midfielder Gabs Goddey, SportsworldGhana.com can exclusively report.
The talent midfielder who is been chased by both Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak, has also emerged as transfer target for the Miners ahead of the 2021/22 season.
Goddey who spent last season with Tema Youth SC, spent some months in Germany with German Bundesliga side Bayer 04 Leverkusen but unfortunately could not seal a deal with the German top-flight side based in Leverkusen in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The 19-year old attacking midfielder joined the Nkoranza-based club from Royal Awudu Issaka Academy.
Goddey who joined Nkoranza Warriors in the second round of the 2010/21 Division One League, has so far scored five goals.
He looks very likely to play in the Ghana Premier League next season as the three Ghanaian giants are hoping to secure his signature to bolster their squad for the 2021/22 season.
Meanwhile, some unnamed foreign clubs are keenly monitoring the player and could table a bid for him when the current season expires.
Nkoranza Warriors are noted for grooming talents have nurtured the likes of USM Alger and Black Stars strike Kwame Opoku, Hearts of Oak’s Isaac Mensah, Emmanuel Sarkodie of Asante Kotoko and other to young talents who currently ply their football trade in Sweden.
