AshantiGold Sporting Club has embarked on massive ‘CLEAROUT’ exercise following the release of twenty -two players from the club.
The management of the club in consultation with the head coach have officially informed the affected players.
This is part of Coach C. K. Akunnor’s decision to reduce the squad number of his team and bring in new recruits to augment this side ahead of the 2017/2018 season.

The Miners had an outrageous number of forty in their fold as against the thirty players officially mandated to be registered to feature in the Ghana Premier League.
The list consists of Afoakowa Jr ,Afoakowa Snr ,Bright Donkor, Richard Gyamfi, Seth Afful,Samuel Yeboah , Paul Abeka Nkrumah,Fuseini Abideena whose contract has been terminated .

AshGold have also released 5 players they signed last season in the shape of Ibrahim Iddrisu, Yussif Mohammed, Magnus Ebo Duncan, Aaron Amoah and Ibrahim Mohammed.
According to reports, the Obuasi- based is currently in talks to seal a permanent deals for 7 loan players brought in during the second transfer window.
