Ghanaian Division One League side Asokwa Deportivo SC midfielder, Derrick Osei Bonsu has joined Spanish La Liga team Real Valladolid on a one-year loan deal, SPORTSworldGhana.com can exclusively confirm.
The impregnable and midfield anchor Bonsu has arrived in Spain and has put pen to paper for a season-long loan from the Blue and Whites Asokwa-based Club.
Bonsu joined the Division One team in Ghana before the start of the NC tournament and has been a constant figure for the Ghanaian club.
With his typical defensive mindset, the youngster is able to provide the shield for his defense and helps free his attackers to enjoy their forward play which makes him very unique.
The 18-year-old versatile midfielder will play for the Spanish team for the whole of the 2020-21 season in Spain.
The Ghanaian playmaker’s deal could be made permanent should both clubs agree to a deal after his loan spell.
Bonsu scored one goal with two assists from defensive midfield role and is expected to shine at his new adventure in Spain and follow the likes of Salisu Mohammed who joined Premier League Club Southampton from Valladolid this summer.
