Asokwa Deportivo SC striker, Raymond Owusu Frimpong has joined Ukrainian top-flight Zorya Luhansk on a two-year contract, SportsworldGhana.com can confirm.
The 18-year-old versatile forward has joined the Europa League side of Ukraine on a two-year permanent deal with a one-year renewable option in his contract.
Raymond, born in 2002 was one of the youngest players who joined Asokwa Deportivo SC on loan from Gold Coast FC in Kumasi.
During the 2019-20 truncated league season in Ghana, the then 17-year-old striker scored five goals and provided three assists in fourteen outings for the Asokwa-based club.
After playing in three games for the ‘Allah is Great’ Boys, the young attacker bagged two assists and scored one before he’s deal to Ukraine was completed.
The young forward will begin training with the Luhansk club after their away win on Sunday against Shaktar Donetsk.
The Ghanaian forward arrived in the country on Saturday and has completed his mandatory medicals ahead of his first training session with the first team on Tuesday.
