Ghana’s Black Meteors attacker, Kwabena Owusu has arrived in Turkey to complete a transfer move to Turkish Lig 1 side, MKE Ankaragucu, Sportsworldghana.com can exclusively confirm.
The Ghanaian international plays with Azerbaijani side Qarabag FK but has arrived to iron out few details to sign for the newly demoted Super Lig team.
The 24-year-old forward is set to sign a three-year deal with a one-year option to extend the deal if he pass his mandatory medical test at the club.
The Blue and Yellows are keen to make a quick return to the top-flight football in Turkey and have identified the versatile forward as the right man to lead their attack in the upcoming season.
Owusu’s had two years left on his contract with the Azerbaijani Premier League giants but his move away from the club is immenent and the deal could be announced by Monday if he passes his medical test.
The Ghanaian striker played 39 matches in all competitions for Qarabag in four competitions, that is the UEFA Europa League, UEFA Champions League, the Azerbaijani Premier League and cup competition respectively and scored nine goals with two assists to his name.
His deal to Ankaragucu is expected to done by the close of today and the deal could be announced and made public between today and Monday If everything goes smoothly today at the club’s training center.
