English-born Ghanaian defender Cole Desmond Kpekawa has signed for National League side Chelmsford City FC as a free agent.
The 24-year-old left-back moves to the English lower-tier club on a two-year deal after leaving Slovakian Fortuna Liga outfit Trencin last month following the expiration of his contract.
Kpekawa is expected to play a key role in the setup of the Melbourne Stadium side as they seek to qualify to the fifth tier this season.
A great talent in his early days, Kpekawa played for clubs including Queens Park Rangers as well as Barnsley and was one of the best young talents in English football.
He was born to a Ghanaian father and an English mother and has already played for the English national under 20 team though he is still eligible to feature for Ghana.
