American Major League Soccer club Columbus Crew have parted ways with Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Boateng after one year together.
Boateng, 26, joined Crew from DC United last summer but failed to hold down a place in the team as he made only twelve appearances with most of them coming from the bench.
SPORTSworldGhama.com can reveal that an option for an extension of contract has been declined by Columbus Crew and Boateng is on his way out of the club as a free agent.
The left-footed flanks man previously featured for Helsingborg in Sweden as well as LA Galaxy.
