EXCLUSIVE: Gatefe in race with Spartak Moscow to sign Ghana’s Edwin Gyasi

Ghanaian forward Edwin Gyasi has emerged as target for Spanish La Liga side Gatefe FC and Russian side Spartak Moscow SportsworldGhana.com can report exclusively.

Gyasi, has emerged as a target for the three clubs after an explosive season in the Norwegian Eliteserien which has seen also him appear on the radar of English sides Aston Villa, Swansea and West Brown United and Sunderland.

Though  Spartak Moscow are desirous to sign Gyasi, SportsworldGhana.com can reveal Gatefe are working tirelessly to beat competition from them to sign the signature of the Dutch-born Ghanaian international before the January transfer deadline.

But Jose Bordalas side must meet his £600,000 asking price plus add-ons set by Norwegian side Aalesunds FK.

Gyasi scored six goals in 27 league appearances last season.

Born and raised in Holland, Edwin Gyasi made his international debut for Ghana in a world Cup qualifier against Congo in September 2017 and netted his first international goal in a 1-1 draw with Egypt in November at the Cape Coast stadium.

Meanwhile, midfielder Mubarak Wakaso could also leaving Deportivo Alaves for Getafe CF before the January window comes to an end.

The Babazorros El Glorioso faces the last two weeks of the market with several reinforcements still to close.
