Former Germany youth player, Razak Iddrisu has been snapped by German lower tier side FC Wolfsburg 1945, Sportsworldghana.com can exclusively confirm.
The 25-year-old was likened to Germany great, Jürgen Klinsmann due to his power, pace and finishing prowess in 2012 during his U-17 days for the Germans.
Idrrisu was born in Ghana, Tema, before he was taken to Germany and was one of the highly-rated youngsters in Germany youth leagues in 2012.
He was a pivot and a consistent performer at VFL Wolfsburg’s youth team and was offered a professional contract at the Green and Whites outfit before the European U-17 championship that year.
The 25-year-old has been without a club since 2019 after leaving Brandenburg SC in September, two months after signing a two-year contract with the Red and Whites.
Sportsworldghana.com can confirm that, the former German Youth star has now been offered a one-year deal with FC Wolfsburg who play in the District football in Braunschweig.
In 2012, his father, Abu Iddrisu who helped Ghana to win the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Ecuador advised the Ghana FA to snatch the young prospect to represent his native country.
After failing to live up to expectations at Wolfsburg, the Ghanaian joined FC Twente in Netherlands in 2015 but was released one year later after failing to impress.
He later joined Europa FC in Gibraltar in 2018 but could not make a good case for himself as he was released by the club in less than a year.
His career took a nosedive but has been given a second chance by the Red and Whites outfit in Wolfsburg to revive his career in the German lower tier league.
