Ghana defender Gideon Mensah has completed his loan move to Austrian Top Side SK Sturm Graz from Redbull Salzburg, SportsworldGhana.com can report.
Mensah, on Monday afternoon passed his mandatory medicals and finalized a six-month loan deal from Redbull Salzburg to Austrian Top flight side SK Sturm Graz.
The budding left-back will travel with his new side to Turkey for training before returning for their Austrian Bundesliga game against SV Mattersburg on 24th Feb, 2019.
“I’ll do my best to recommend training for SK Sturm. Having already been in Austria for two years, I know that Sturm Graz is one of the biggest traditional clubs” said the Ghanaian international.
“After the loan departure of Filipe Ferreira we have left open whether we are active again on the left side. With Gideon Mensah, who has always attracted our attention in the scouting of the last two years, there was the opportunity to sign up one of the most talented players in Austria for the left wing. We are convinced that Gideon’s dynamic and flexibility will further strengthen our squad for the spring. said Managing Director Günter Kreissl.
Mensah, 21, recently featured for the Ghana U 23 in the Afcon U 23 qualifiers and is a big prospect for the Black Stars left back position.
Gideon Mensah will wear the shirt number 17 at the SK Sturm.
