Exclusive: Ghanaian defender Wahab Ackwei joins Loudon United FC

Ghanaian defender Wahab Ackwei has joined USL Championship side Loudon United FC.

Ackwei, 24, joins the Virginia-based club from on a free transfer from Richmond Kickers where he spent two seasons and made a total of 39 appearances, scoring one goal and providing three assists.

The talented guardsman is expected to help Loudon United as they seek to qualify for the MLS after finishing on the 12th position last season

Ackwei formerly played for Ghanaian outfit Inter Allies as well as the second team of New York Red Bulls.
