Ghanaian midfielder Samuel Asamoah has left Belgian Jupiler Pro League club Sint-Truiden after three years.
Sportsworldghana.com can exclusively reveal that the contract of Asamoah has not been renewed and he is a free player now though he can officially join another team from July 1, 2021.
Asamoah, 27, signed for Sint-Truiden from KAS Eupen three years ago and has been one of the club’s best players making a total of 115 appearances, scoring six goals and providing seven assists.
A host of clubs including Royal Antwerp and Cercle Brugge are said to be interested in him ahead of the impending transfer window and a deal could be reached in the coming days.
Born in Accra to a Ghanaian father and a Togolese mother, Asamoah also holds Belgian citizenship and is eligible to play for all three countries.
