Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko are set to go head-to-head in the transfer market as both clubs target Medeama SC right-back Kamaradini Mamudu ahead of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
According to local transfer expert Mo Shabaan, the two most decorated clubs in Ghanaian football are closely monitoring the 24-year-old defender, who has emerged as one of the top-performing full-backs in the league.
Mamudu was a standout figure for Medeama during the just-ended campaign, combining defensive solidity with attacking intent down the right flank. His consistency and work rate have reportedly caught the attention of scouts from both Accra and Kumasi, with both clubs eager to bolster their defensive departments after underwhelming league finishes.
Sources close to the player suggest preliminary talks have already begun, though no official bid has been submitted by either side. Medeama, who have already lost key players in recent transfer windows, are likely to demand a significant fee to part ways with Mamudu, who still has a year left on his contract.
Hearts of Oak, under the leadership of coach Aboubakar Ouattara, are keen to add experience and depth to their squad, while Asante Kotoko are also rebuilding under interim coach Karim Zito as they aim to reclaim domestic dominance.
