Swedish side Helsingborg IF have parted ways with experienced Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Abubakari after two years together.
The contract of the talented 34 year-old enforcer expires this month and he will play his last game for the club this weekend against IFK Norrkoeping as the 2020 Swedish Allsvenskan season comes to a close.
Abubakari joined Helsingborg from BK Hacken in January 2018 and become the first choice central midfielder of the club making a total of 77 appearances, scoring four goals and providing three assists.
One of the most talented players of his generation, Abubakari was the first player WAFA (Feyenoord Ghana) transferred abroad when he moved to Feyenoord Rotterdam in the summer of 2005.
He went on to also play for various clubs in Greece including Doxa, PAOK, and AE Larissa.
