Newly-appointed Aston Villa sporting director Johan Lange is ready to sign Ghanaian defender Daniel Amartey from Leicester City this summer.
The Danish football administrator replaced Jesus Garcia Pitarch as the sporting director of Villa earlier this week and he has set his sight on the versatile Ghanaian defender.
Lange brought Daniel Amartey to FC Copenhagen from Djugarden before the player moved to Leicester and they have a very cordial relationship.
SPORTSworldGhana.com can exclusively reveal that Lange has already told the Villa boss that he needs Anartey due to his versatility as he can help the team in defence and in the attack.
Amartey is currently surplus to requirements at Leicester City and he has been told he can leave the Kingspower Stadium this summer.
Turkish outfit Goztepe are also interested in his services.
