Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Patrick Joosten has signed for Gronningen from FC Utrecht on a three-year deal for a fee of 800,000 Euros, SPORTSworldGhana.com can exclusively report.

SPORTSworldGhana.com can confirm that the deal was completed in the wee hours of Friday after the player had successful medicals in a private hospital in Groningen.
Joosten, 24, will wear the jersey of the “Pride of the North” for the next three years and he is expected to help them fight for a European competition slot.

Last season, he played on loan at Sparta Rotterdam where he made fifteen Eredivise appearances scoring three goals.
Born in Nijmegen to a Dutch father and a Ghanaian mother, Joosten has already emphasized that he wants to feature for Ghana as he loved the country the very first day he visited.
