Ghana midfielder Sulley Muniru has seen his contract with Portuguese side CD Tondela terminated, SportsworldGhana.com can report exclusively.
Tondela announced on Friday that the Ghanaian midfielder and Australian center-back Nick Ansell have been released by the club.
The Ghanaian completed a switch to the Portuguese club last season after signing a 2-year deal which tied him till 2019.
The 25-year-old saw his contract with Steua Bucharesti mutually terminated in July after he was found guilty of a training ground outburst with a teammate before switching camp to Portugal.
In a statement, Tondela thanks both athletes for “all the professionalism shown in the jersey and wishes the greatest personal and professional success.”
Muniru, is a younger brother of former AC Milan star Sulley Ali Muntari.
