Belgium Pro League biggest team, RSC Anderlecht have lineup a sum of €2.5m to sign Ghanaian utility midfield-gem, Majeed Ashimeru from Austrian side RB Salzburg, SportsworldGhana can exclusively reveal.
The former West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC graduate joined the Purple and Whites from Salzburg on a year loan with an option to make the deal permanent based on the output of the young lad.
There is more and more clarity about what Anderlecht will look like next season as they intends to exercise the purchase option on Majeed Ashimeru (23).
With the record Champions in Belgium keen to keep the Ghanaian, they will have to pay around 2.5 million euros to Red Bull Salzburg and Sportsworldghana can confirm that, the club is ready to slash the cash to secure the midfielder’s services as they intend to turn down the option to make Nigeria’s Paul Mukairu and Abdoulay Diaby’s loan deal permanent.
The 23-year-old Ghanaian midfield-gem has made eight appearances in the Pro League and has found the back of the net once as well as scoring once in the Belgium Cup to take his total tally to two goals since joining in the winter transfer window.
Anderlecht have told RB Salzburg about their interest and intentions of making Ashimeru’s deal permanent and the deal could be completed in the coming weeks before the 2020 European Championship start.
