President of Rugby Africa, Herbert Mensah, is reportedly being considered for a position on the board of Asante Kotoko SC, Sportsworldghana.com can report.
Information available indicates that discussions are ongoing between Manhyia Palace and the club’s newly formed board regarding the possible inclusion of the Kumasi-based businessman as part of the club’s leadership structure.
Earlier this month, Manhyia announced a three-member board to supervise the affairs of the Porcupine Warriors. The board is chaired by James Osei Brown, Chief Executive Officer of Joshob Construction.
Serving as Vice-Chairman is Kwasi Osei Ofori, CEO of Rocksure International, while Kofi Amoa-Abban, Founder and CEO of Rigworld Group, completes the three-man board.
Mensah is no stranger to the club, having previously served as chairman of Asante Kotoko SC between 1999 and 2003 during the era of the P. V. Obeng-led board.
Meanwhile, the club’s Interim Management Committee (IMC), headed by Nana Apinkra, will continue to oversee the day-to-day administration of the club until the end of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
