Ghanaian- Dutch born forward Edwin Gyasi has been handed his maiden Black Stars call up for Ghana’s crucial 2018 World Cup double header qualifiers against Congo, an allied of his club Aalesund FK tells SportsworldGhana.com exclusively.
Gyasi 26, who is being monitored closing by German side Shalke 04 and English championship side Aston Villa will be representing his native country Ghana at the senior national level having been considered by Ghana Kwesi Appiah matches.
The Aalessund FK winger was born in the Netherlands, but considers Ghana as his native country.
He is of course, very pleased with the opportunity to represent Ghana at the senior level.
Gyasi has been one of Aalesund FK’ best players this year as last year and it is no wonder that Kwesi Appiah has handed him his debut call up.
The Black Stars have had a horrible start to the season qualify campaign, amassing just a point in two games.
They were held to a goalless draw game in Ghana before losing 2-0 to Egypt in Alexandria
