Ghanaian striker Shafiu Mumuni has signed for Iraqi Premier League side Erbil SC.
Sportsworldghana.com can exclusively reveal that the former Black Stars B skipper has appended his signature to a one-year deal with the “Yellow Castle” and has an option for renewal at the end of the season.
Shafiu has been without a club since being released by Tunisian outfit Monastir in January this year and this move to Iraq offers him chance to be active.
According to reports in Iraq, Erbil SC paid an attractive sum of money to lure Shafiu as they seek to build their team around him particularly for next season.
Erbil SC are currently 12th on the Iraqi League log with 29 points from 26 games.
