Swedish elite Division side Hammarby FC have officially written to Division One League side Nkoranza Warriors to sign their top attacking midfielder Gabs Goddey, SportsworldGhana.com can exclusively report.
The deal, SportsworldGhana.com, can confirm is a one-year loan with the option to buy permanentaly.
The Allsvenskan side wants to bolster their team with the acquisition of the talented forward who is also being chased by Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak.
SPORTS world Ghana can, however, confirm that Hammarby have commenced preliminary discussions and negotiations with his parent club to finalise the deal before the 2020/21 Division One League season ends.
A letter from Hammarby sighted by our outfit read: Hammarby Football is having interest in the player Gabs Goddey Yaw, born in January 25th 2001. The player is currently playing for Nkoranza Warriors FC in Ghana,”
Goddey who spent last season with Tema Youth SC, spent some months in Germany with German Bundesliga side Bayer 04 Leverkusen but unfortunately could not seal a deal with the German top-flight side based in Leverkusen in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The 19-year old attacking midfielder joined the Nkoranza-based club from Royal Awudu Issaka Academy.
He has scored five goals for Nkoranza Warriors despite joining them in the second round of the season.
