The Buildcon FC captain is likely to make a move to either North Africa or Saudi Arabia when his current contract with the Zambian club expires, SportsworldGhana.com can exclusively report.
The former Bechem United defender is currently courting interest from clubs in Tunisia and Egypt with only three months left on his Buildcon Football Club deal. Two other unnamed clubs from Saudi Arabia are also monitoring the player and are willing to offer him a juicy deal in the coming days.
The Ghanaian right-back’s existing deal expires in June 2021. However, Owusu according to SportsworldGhana.com sources is not willing to extend the contract despite Buildcon FC ready to offer him a three-year new contract.
Owusu,24, per Fifa rules is free to discuss pre-contract talks with clubs and SportsworldGhana.com understands two North African clubs are among the clubs to have shown serious interest in the versatile defender.
Meanwhile, two Lusaka clubs have also expressed interest in luring the right-back with negotiations steadily progressing.
The full-Back has been a consistent Performer in the Zambia top-flight league since his arrival in 2019 and is a key man for manager Kelvin Kaindu’s team.
