West African Football Academy youngster, Konadu Yiadom is nearing a move to Ghana Premier side, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, SportsworldGhana.com can confirm exclusively.
The exciting defender is expected to be one of the players head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum will take along with him to the club, when he is confirmed as a replacement for current boss Mariano Barreto.
The Portuguese gaffer is widely reported to part ways with Porcupine Warriors after a torrid time at the helm of affairs, helping them to a second-place finish, with the WAFA head coach now favourites to replace him.
Yiadom had previously been linked to Kotoko’s fierce rivals Hearts of Oak but any move to the Rainbow club failed to materialize.
However, sportsworldghana.com understands that the central defender’s move to the Accra Sports Stadium hit a snag as he anticipates a deal to work with Narteh Ogum at Kotoko next season.
Yiadom managed to score three times in his 32 game outings for West African Football Academy SC in the just ended 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
