Kumasi Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan produced superlative performance for the Porcupine Warriors when he saved a penalty to help his side’s share spoils with Tanzanian giants Simba SC in an international friendly on Wednesday afternoon.
Tanzanian sides Simba SC were held to a 1-1 draw by Asante Kotoko in their 82nd anniversary match at the Uhuru Stadium.
Kotoko who looked more purposeful in the early stages struggled to find target until striker Obed Owusu struck on the 44th minute to give the Ghanaian club the lead before break.

Youngsters Michael Yeboah and Douglas Owusu Ansah brilliantly controlled the midfield so well for Kotoko, making it very difficult for their counterparts to dominate the game.
Obed Owusu shot the Porcupine Warriors in front a minute before recess after connecting Yeboah’s shot which was saved by Simba FC’s humanwall.
Simaba kept pushing Paa Kwesi Fabian’s charges for the leveller but Goalkeeper Felix Annan made brilliant saves including to deny the home side from hitting target..
However, Emmanuel Okwi drew Simba level on the 77th minute but Annan saved a penalty which could have sealed victory for the host to ensure Kotoko leave Tanzania with a 1-1 draw.
Two Ghanaian players namely Nicholas Gyan and James Kotei featured for the Tanzanian side.
