Ghanaian teen defender Maxwell Woledzi has lavished praises on his family for his upbringing and encouraging him to get to the top of his football career.
Woledzi made his debut for the club in July when FC Nordsjaelland traveled to Brondby. A game they lost 4-0 in the Danish Super Liga championships play-offs.
He has so far made three more appearances and is expected to play a major role next season for Nordsjaelland in the centre-back role following the exit of departed compatriot Abdul Mumin Suleman.
He joined the Wild Tigers last summer from feeder club the Right to Dream Academy.
The 19-year old Right to Dream graduate believes he wouldn’t have made it to the top level if he had not received the backing of his family.
”Just thanking my family, they’ve raised me and my local team diamond seed together with Right to Dream and FC Nordsjaelland for their belief in me and how they raised me as a person and a football player,” Woledzi said after winning the award for the player that best represents FC Nordsjaelland’s values.
