Fernerbahce boss Phillip Cocu has disclosed his readiness in appointing Ghana star Andre Ayew as the new skipper of Turkish side Fenerbahce.
The Swansea loanee has been in superb form for the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium outfit and his boss insists he is also respected by all peers and can lead them.
“I have one request, I want you to become the leader of the team. Everyone respects you,” Fotomac quoted Cocu as he told Ayew.
“You will play various offensive roles also on the field,”
Cocu, wants the Black Stars deputy captain to take over from Goalkeeper Volkan Demirel as skipper for the Turkish giants.
