Mamadou Doumbia scores a hattrick for Mali against Uzbekistan
Indonesia 2023 got off to a wonderful start with the 17-year-old Mamadou Doumbia’s hattrick condemning Uzbekistan to a 3-0 defeat against Mali at the Manahan Stadium in Surakata. The West Africans opened the scoring in the 30th minute through Mamadou Doumbia.
Soumaila Coulibaly’s side doubled their lead through the AS Black Stars forward, Mamadou Doumbia’s penalty in the 72nd minute before adding his third three minutes later to cap off a wonderful display for the Africans.
Saifdine Chlagmo scores the first goal of the tournament for Morocco
In Group A, Morocco won 2-0 against Panama. Goals from each half by Saifdine Chlagmo and Ayman Ennair in the 16th and 95th minutes respectively were enough for Morocco to clinch a vital win.
Senegal will play against Argentina and Burkina Faso will also square off against France tomorrow.
