FIFA will suspend Senegalese referee Ndiaye Maguette who handled the Ghana vs South Africa world cup qualifier last month.
South Africa lodged a complaint at FIFA as they believed the game was fixed but the protest has been thrown out by the world football governing body.
Sportsworldghana.com understands that referee Ndiaye Maguette and his assistants who handled the game are being privately investigated by FIFA as they got some decisions wrong in the game.
Maguette who was one of the dominant referees on the African continent as he always handle games in the Champions League as well as Confederations Cup has not officiated any game since the Ghana encounter.
The past two weeks has seen a different set of Senegalese referees handling games in the African club competitions with Adalbert Diouf incharge of the JS Saoura Hearts of Oak game and being assisted by El Hadji Abdoul Aziz Gueye and Mamadou Ngom with Alioune Sow Sandigui the fourth official.
Fifa are expected to come out on Ndiaye Maguette and his assistants within this month.
