Group A

Morocco won against the host Indonesia 3-1 to ensure that they top Group A. Alaoui, Ait Boudial and Hamony were the scorers for Morocco with Asyura scoring the consolation for the host nation.

Ecuador and Panama shared the spoils by playing 1-1 draw with Elkin Ruiz opening the scoreline in the 24th minute for the South Americans,  Ecuador. Castillo equalised in the 79th minute to secure a point for Panama.

Morocco and Ecuador qualify for the next stage with Indonesia having a small chance to qualify.

Group B

Mali beat Canada 5-1 at the Gelora Bumg Tomo Stadium in Surabaya. Five different players scored for Mali with Diara and Barry putting the West Africans 2-0 ahead in the first half. 15-year-old Richard Chukwu scored in the 45th minute to reduce the deficit for the Canadians. Konate, Makalou and Thiero added three goals in the second half to end Canada’s miserable tournament in Indonesia.

Uzbekistan bounced back from a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2 against Spain. The Spaniards were ahead by two goals with Oyono and Martin scoring in the 10th and 19th minutes respectively.

In the 4th minute of the fourth added time in the first half, Shukirullayev pulled one back for Uzbekistan with Amin Saidov equalising in the 54th minute.

Spain and Mali have successfully qualified for the knockout stage with Uzbekistan waiting for other results to confirm their qualification.
