The 19th edition of the FIFA U 17 World Cup will kick off this morning in Indonesia.

This edition marks the return of the tournament after a four-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic forcing FIFA to cancel the 2021 edition.

Date: 10 November to 2 December

Defending Champions:  Brazil

Number of countries playing:  24

The country with the most wins:

Some former U 17 stars: Luis Figo, Juan Sebastien Veron, Nwankwo Kanu, Samuel Osei Kuffuor, Ronaldinho, Micheal Essien, Adriano, Cesc Fabregas,  Carlos Vela, Haris Seferovic, Alison Becker,  Casemiro, Neymar, Toni Kroos, Emiliano Martinez, Ter Stegen, Coutinho, Kelechi Iheanacho,  Victor Osimhen, Phil Foden, Pedri etc

African representatives:  Morocco, Senegal, Mali and Burkina Faso

FIFA U-17 is a competition that has never failed to live up to expectations. The raw talents always shown by teenagers are mind-blowing.

This is a competition that always gives a hint about who the next world big star is.

All eyes will be on Indonesia this  November and December to search for the next big thing.
