Accra Hearts of Oak SC captain, Fatawu Mohammed has deservedly walked into Black Stars starting 11 for South Africa clash.
The leader of the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League winners takes the place of Andy Yiadom who featured in Ghana’s win over Ethiopia last Friday.
As a result of Covid-19 restrictions in the United Kingdom, Yiadom was prevented from joining the team to Johannesburg, paving way for the Phobian to start his first game for the Stars.
Fatawu Mohammed led Hearts of Oak SC to win the domestic double this season by winning the covetous trophy Premier League title for the first time in 12 years as well as the MTN FA Cup trophy.
He will start for Ghana this evening in South Africa against the Bafana Bafana in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers which kicks off at 4pm today.
