Ghana forward Brandon Thomas-Asante has received a late call-up to the Black Stars squad to replace Iñaki Williams, who has been ruled out with an injury.
Iñaki, who plays for Athletic Club in Spain, picked up a muscle problem after scoring his first goal of the season against Real Mallorca. Due to the injury, he will miss Ghana’s upcoming international games.
In his place, Thomas-Asante, who has been in fine form for Coventry City in the English Championship, joins the team. The 24-year-old has impressed this season with his goals and work rate, earning praise from fans and coaches alike.
Ghana will hope Thomas-Asante can bring his current club form to the national team as they prepare for the upcoming matches.
