German-based Ghanaian forward Daniel Kofi Kyereh debuted in Black Stars win over Ethiopia in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Friday night.
The FC St Pauli came on after 27 minutes when Crystal Palace man Jeffrey Schlupp picked up a thigh injury in half way through the first half of the match.
Kyereh showed glimpses of brilliance with some flicks and tricks during the time he spent on the field after his introduction by head coach CK Akonnor.
Mubarak Wakaso gave Ghana the lead on the 35th minute mark with a harmless long range strike from almost 40 yards following a goalkeeping howler.
In the second half, the 25-year-old could register his name on the score sheet but decided to look for Andre Ayew instead of going for glory.
Kyereh could feature when Ghana takes on South Africa on Monday evening at the FNB stadium in Johannesburg.
Ghana beat Ethiopia 1-0 in their first game of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers for the 2022 competition which will be held in Qatar.
