Ghana have been placed in pot 2 ahead of the playoffs draw in December for a place in the 2022 FIFA World Cup competition which will be held in Qatar.
The Black Stars defeated the Bafana Bafana of South Africa 1-0 at the Cape Coast stadium on Sunday evening to make it to the playoffs stage based on goals scored after tying on points with the South Africans.
After all 10 teams confirmed for the playoffs spot in March next year, Ghana are in pot 2 and are set to meet a top five ranked team in Africa.
Ghana will be in Pot 2 of the World Cup qualifiers. The Black Stars will face one of these teams, that is Algeria, Senegal, Nigeria, Tunisia or Morocco.
