Ghanaian international striker Benjamin Tetteh has excused himself from the Ghana squad for this week’s FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa because of injury .
Though the Turkey-based striker has officially asked to be excluded from the team, It is unknown the type of injury suffered by Tetteh but he is unavailable for Ethiopia and South Africa games.
He earned his first international call-up in October when Ghana faced Zimbabwe in a double header which he impressed many Ghanaians with his performance.
The lanky attacker was one of the best performers aside Thomas Partey and Mohammed Kudus which earned him high scores in both games.
The former Tema Youth has scored five goals in 11 games for Yeni Malatyaspor this season in the Turkish Super Lig.
Ghana will play Ethiopia in Johannesburg on Thursday and host South Africa on Sunday at the Cape Coast stadium.
