Former Ghana Youth star striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom has earned Ghana call-up for 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa respectively.
The Beitar Jerusalem striker has been named in the Black Stars team for the upcoming games against Ethiopia and South Africa after a three-year absence.
The 28-year-old is making his return to the four-time AFCON champions after a three-year absence with his last outing in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers due to lack of form.
Yiadom was Ghana’s 2013 U20 topsman and a proven goal scorer for Ghana and would be expected to bring goals to the Black Stars team in their crucial games.
Yiafom is said to be replacing Joel Fameyeh who plays for FC Orenburg in Russia.
Ghana needs wins against Ethiopia and South Africa to book a place in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers playoffs spot for a possible place in the Mundial.
Ghana will take on Ethiopia in Johannesburg at the Orlando Stadium before hosting the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in Cape Coast on 14th November.
