Ghana’s female U20 midfielder Ernestina Abambila says it will take 100 percent focus for the Ghanaian side to advance from the Group Phase of the 2018 FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
The Black Princesses, on Thursday at Rennes Opera House, Rennes were drawn in Group A alongside; host France, New Zealand and Netherland.
And the intelligent US based central midfielder admits 100% commitment is all that Coach Yusif Basigi’s will need to ensure they secure qualification from the Group stage.

She added “Our chances look slim, based on our history of not making it out of the group phase – we have to encourage ourselves. There is always a first time, we have good players and can make it happen.
“The leaders must also do all what they have to do to support the target, our coaches, administrators must attend to the target early. Support us both spiritually and physically”
The Black Princesses will be making their fifth successive appearance at the global showpiece. They produced convincing results to secure qualification.
The 2018 edition of the competition will be played between World Cup 5–24 August with 16 from 6 confederations.
