Former Ghana coach James Kwasi Appiah, has thrown his weight behind the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah to succeed at the club.
The 2019 GFA presidential candidate has been appointed on a three-year contract by the Board and is expected to turn the fortunes of the club around.
Nana Yaw Amponsah’s appointment has received some good and well wishes from the football fraternity and authorities.
And the Asante Kotoko legend who won some valuable trophies during his playing days at the club has joined the list of well wishes to the CEO.
Appiah, 62, believes Nana Yaw Amponsah has the competence and the can-do spirit to take the club to the next level and also help them restore their glorious moment in African football.
Speaking in an interview with Kwaku Osei TV’s YouTube Channel, Appiah said: ‘’I personally think Nana Yaw Amponsah will be successful at the Porcupine club. A learned person with experience from all walks of the world speaks volume as to the competence he has to lead and make the club flourish.’’
Appiah added that ‘’He will instill unity among the supporters and help generate money for the club so all and sundry must canvass their total support for him.’’
