Former Dreams FC defender Zuberu Sharani has changed his international allegiance to represent Togo national football team at senior level.

The left-back, who currently plays for Slovak champions ŠK Slovan Bratislava, has been named in Togo’s squad for upcoming international friendly matches against Guinea national football team and Niger national football team.

Sharani began his professional career in Ghana with Dreams FC in 2018 before securing a move to Europe the same year with Czech giants AC Sparta Prague. Although he did not feature in the league for the Prague-based side, the transfer paved the way for further opportunities in European football.

He later joined Slovak club DAC Dunajská Streda, where he made 41 league appearances and scored five goals between 2019 and 2022. During that period, he also spent time on loan at MFK Zemplín Michalovce.

In 2023, Sharani completed a move to ŠK Slovan Bratislava, where he has since established himself as a regular, making close to 50 appearances and contributing a goal.

Despite his Ghanaian roots, the defender has now chosen to represent Togo national football team and could make his international debut in the upcoming friendlies.
